While the JCF physical office is currently closed, our staff is available to answer any questions you might have about managing your fund online, and addressing philanthropic needs during this difficult time. Please note that as of now, we are processing grants but with delays, particularly those that require additional research.

Many of our Fundholders are responding to the impact of the epidemic by recommending grants to the following charities:

  • Hebrew Free Loan Society (for its Coronovirus Financial Impact Loans)
  • Citymeals-on-Wheels
  • Food Bank for New York City, Food for Survival and other local food banks
  • Several of JCF’s Special Gifts Fund grantees are continuing to provide food for those in need, including Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center’s food pantry, MasbiaMetropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish PovertySelfhelp Community Services, Inc., and The Marion and Aaron Gural JCC Kosher Food Pantry.
  • The coronavirus is having a profound impact on communities and the economy in Israel as well. You can help by making a grant to the American Friends of Israel Free Loan Association to help support emergency loans to small businesses suffering under the circumstances.
  • Goodnation’s Philanthropy Advisors are available to help JCF Fundholders looking for additional guidance on identifying high-impact nonprofits that are addressing the health needs and beyond of vulnerable communities impacted by coronavirus.
